Garden Apartment

A couple wanted to convert the ground level of their Brooklyn Townhouse into a rentable unit. With limited means, the design focuses on strategic moves to create an open and light-filled apartment. Two openings in the central load-bearing wall connect the new kitchen to the living room while the corner opening at kitchen grants a view of the garden upon entry. Enlarged windows and a glazed door at the rear let in more light.
